With GO International you can!

Why is this the best program for your Australian Working Holiday experience?

Yes, you’ll be working, earning money and getting international experience you can put on your CV.

But the best part of this working holiday…. is the holiday!

Just imagine lying on one of Australia’s sunny beaches on one of your days off. Or driving along the coast while taking in the stunning scenery.

With Go International, we’ll help you secure a job and find a great place to stay when you arrive. We’ll also provide you with 24/7 support after you get here.

Our guess is you’ll fall in love with Australia! The culture, your work, and the “Aussie” way of life.

” I DON’T CARE HOW LONG IT TAKES ME, I’M GOING SOMEWHERE BEAUTIFUL. “

How Does it Work?

When moving to a new country, it seems like a daunting task to find a job on your own, to make new friends and at the same time to find a place to call home. Not to mention, the long process of getting the correct permits, filing your taxes and other administrative tasks. But with GO International, you will receive all the support you need to make the move!

Explore Australia with Work and Travel

Once you sign up for a Working Holiday Package with Go International, we will provide you with step-by-step guidance to apply for your Australian Working Holiday visa.

After your visa is approved, we will help you with all the administrative tasks you will need to take care of for your move to Australia – booking your flight, opening your bank account, purchasing your travel insurance etc.

If you need help deciding on an area to call home while you are in Down Under, we can help with that as well.

Included in our gold and platinum packages are the first two nights in a popular and central Backpacker hostel in either Sydney or Melbourne. Sleep off your jet lag and get ready for the next exciting days.

Join our weekly social activities in our offices in Sydney and Melbourne and make tons of friends from around the world.

While you are there, we will be there, too. Our team in Australia will organize an orientation session, where you will get more information on all things important during your work abroad. You will have the opportunity to ask all your remaining questions while meeting fellow travelers on the same program and making your first new friends.

Use our online job board and exclusive in-house recruitment agency to find a job fast. This will give you an edge over all your competitors and secure you a job to cover your living and travel costs in Australia.

The program can last as long as you want it to—up to a full year!

You can start any time of the year excluding holidays. Whether you want to take a semester off, just an extended summer trip abroad, or a whole year… Design your program to suit your exact needs!

Why Live and Work Overseas?

No matter where in the world you go, you’ll discover a culture different from your own. Learning to interact with people from various backgrounds broadens your horizon like nothing else you’ll ever experience.

You’ll meet new friends–both locals and other fellow travelers in the same program. If you’re like most of our participants, these friendships will last long even after you have returned home.

When you make your holiday a working one, you’ll gain a valuable edge in your job search when you return to Canada. In today’s global world, having international experience gives you a competitive advantage and definitely something to talk about during your next job interview.

You will start your Working Holiday adventure in one of Australia’s popular metropolis:

Sydney:

The most populous city in Australia, known for its distinctive harbour front with the Sydney Opera House and continuously voted one of the most livable cities in the world.

Melbourne:

The three magic words for finding a job in Australia are: Flexibility, openness and initiative. As long as you are open to making small compromises, potentially move to a different place for your dream job and put yourself out there, your chances of getting a job quickly are very high!

We have a database of reputable employers in the Australian travel and hospitality industry who have a great reputation for providing travelers with rewarding work experiences.

You will receive access to the online job board 21 days before your arrival in Australia.Once in Australia, our team will help you with your CV, cover letter, and with coaching on job-hunting skills, which means you will have a better chance of receiving job offers in your current and future job searches.

In our offices in Sydney and Melbourne, we also offer an exclusive in-house job recruitment service. Simply leave your resume with our job placement experts and they will call you back with your next money-earning opportunity.

The Working Holiday visa is an open work permit, which means that you can apply for any job you are interested in and qualified for. However, Australia has the special regulation that you are only allowed to work with one employer for up to 6 months – out of the 12 months you are allowed to stay in Australia. This makes it very difficult to get a skilled job.

Australia is still the most popular Work and Travel destination in the world and an amazing destination for your work abroad, but if your goal is to gain work experience in your field, then we recommend looking into our Working Holiday Program in New Zealand.

Australia has a special limitation, which only allows you to work for one employer for up to 6 months. There are some exceptions (e.g. working at a different location for the same employer or working in Northern Australia in a specific industry), but if your focus is to gain work experience in your field, then we recommend considering our New Zealand Working Holiday Program.Have a look at the website of the Australian government for more information.

Australia is the perfect working holiday destination to make friends easily! You will meet fellow backpackers at every corner, potentially already on your flight to Down Under – just keep your eyes open for the wanderlust in their eyes.

With our Platinum package, you will spend 7 adventure-filled days together in a closed group of international participants. These could be your new best friends from day 1! When you book our gold package, you will stay with your fellow working travelers in our hostel for the first two nights. This means, you will be able to make connections right away! You will meet your new friends again during the orientation session and hopefully, saved their phone numbers by now. Because chances are, you will find a lot in common with many of your fellow backpackers.

Also at work, you will develop close bonds with many of your workmates— friendships that will last for a lifetime. This is your time for an adventure, to invent yourself new and to determine the path of your next 12 months. Just try to be open and you will have new friends before you realize it!

This will vary across different employers. Our employment partners will provide you with at least a minimum wage salary (minimum wage in Australia is $19.84 AUD/hour).

The minimum wage in Australia is rather high (ca. $19 CAD at the moment), however remember that the living costs are also higher in comparison, even to Canada!
