ADVANTAGES OF THIS PROGRAM
You will receive step-by-step guidance through the visa application process.
Work placement is arranged for your working holiday in Ireland.
Shared staff accommodation is provided for the duration of your employment. No stress to find housing!
You can gain international work experience which will greatly enhance your resume for your career.
Use your days off to explore the island of Ireland and beyond.
Location & Accommodation

Our placements are with 3 to 5-star hotels or traditional to Michelin-starred restaurants located throughout Ireland. You could find yourself in a charming coastal town or a stunning countryside retreat. We take your preferences into account, and flexibility in location will significantly improve your placement speed.
To make your arrival as seamless as possible, all placements include employer-organized accommodation in shared staff housing, typically located on-site or very close to your workplace. You’ll share this space with fellow international staff members, which means you’ll have a built-in social circle from day one.
A weekly contribution toward accommodation is deducted directly from your salary — ranging from €90–€130 per week depending on the employer — so there’s no separate bill to worry about. Meals are also included during working hours, further reducing your day-to-day expenses.
Your Role & Pay

All roles are full-time hours of up to 48 hours per week (2 days off per week). Expect evening and weekend shifts — this is hospitality at its finest, and it’s worth every moment.
Roles can be divided into 3 categories – kitchen, food & beverage, and hotel. The exact role will vary depending on the employer, so please keep in mind that your role can be a combination of more than just one role!
- Kitchen positions: Kitchen Porter, Commis Chef
- Food & Beverage positions: Waiter/Server, Barback/Bartender
- Hotel positions: Housekeeper, Receptionist (local language fluency required)
Ireland’s legal minimum wage starts at €14.15/hour (2026 rate, varying by age), and some employers offer above minimum wage. For a standard week, that’s a solid income to work with.
Plan for adequate funds to cover your time off and food expenses for the first month until you receive your initial paycheck. By joining this program, your on-site expenses remain minimal. Accommodation, insurance, taxes, and other deductions are handled directly by the employer, so most of your essentials are already covered.
This means your main costs will be food outside working hours and any personal travel you choose to enjoy during your stay, making your entire work and travel program truly worthwhile!
Budgeting
Here’s the great news: this program is designed to be financially accessible. Once your first paycheck arrives, your salary typically covers all essential living costs.
You’ll need to plan for:
- Flights and transportation
- Funds to cover food during your personal time in the first month (before your first paycheck)
- Personal travel and leisure expenses
- Visa-related fees such as the application fee and travel insurance
Taken care of automatically:
- Accommodation (deducted from salary)
- Meals during work hours

Placements are exclusively in the hospitality and restaurant industry, typically 3- to 5-star hotels and restaurants ranging from traditional Irish spots to Michelin-starred establishments.
We generally recommend reaching out to us at least 3 months before your planned travel to ensure your visa application is completed on time.
Please note that the placement process considers the country as a whole to ensure the feasibility of the placement. There are many potential hotels and restaurants across the entire country, and placements are made based on overall availability to ensure the best match.
Your application will be considered for opportunities in all regions of the selected country, depending on employer needs at the time of placement. While we are happy to note your location preference and will prioritise it whenever possible, we cannot guarantee placement in a specific city or area.
Regarding city requests specifically, please be aware that accommodation is not provided in large cities, which is why most placements are based in countryside locations where employers are able to offer housing.
